How To Plan A Private BBQ Catering Event In Singapore

Plan a private BBQ in Singapore with a checklist for the guest list, menu, grill setup, cooking support and event-day timing.

Hosting a BBQ at home or at a booked condo pit starts with five decisions: how many guests, which date, where you can cook, who will grill and when everyone should eat.

Use the planner to gather those details, then work through the menu and event-day checklist below. You can leave uncertain details for the conversation with Sunday Roast.

Start with the five event essentials

Five clear answers are enough before the menu conversation.

Start with your guest count, date, venue, who will grill and when you want to eat. For a home party, tell us whether guests will arrive together or drop in through the evening.

For a condo pit, check the booking window, outside-caterer access and cooking rules with management. For a landed home, share the proposed grill position and access route. Plan a rain fallback for the cooking area as well as the dining space.

The answers below reflect only what you choose. Nothing is saved or sent, and Sunday Roast still needs to confirm availability and service.

Your five essentials

Prepare the five essentials for your private BBQ

Add what you know about your BBQ, then review your choices together.

Your answers stay on this page and are not saved. Copy the summary if you would like to share it with us on WhatsApp.

01

How many guests?

A working estimate from 10 to 100 is enough.

The quotation can confirm when the final count is due.

Event date or date to be confirmed, required
02

When is the event?

Add the exact date only when known, or mark it TBC.

Venue and BBQ setup, required
03

Is your venue ready for the BBQ?

Think about grill access, loading and shelter if it rains.

Onsite cooking role and service expectation, required
04

Who will cook onsite, and what service do you expect?

Chef-led grilling is available only with a Sunday Roast food order.

Meal timing, required
05

When would you like to eat?

Choose a rough meal time. We can work out the exact schedule with you.

Choose your menu and who will grill

Choose food for the people who will be eating, not just a headline guest count. Tell us how many adults and children you expect, whether the BBQ is the main meal, any dietary needs and what other food you are providing.

Menu upgrades change what guests eat. The service choice changes who manages the agreed onsite cooking while the event is underway.

Sunday Roast supplies raw BBQ food for onsite cooking. The host or venue team can cook it onsite, or chef-led grilling can be added with the Sunday Roast food order.

  • Choose the meats, seafood, vegetables and sides your guests enjoy, then confirm quantities in the quote.
  • Share dietary requirements before the menu is agreed so the team can review what is workable.
  • Check food, cooking support, delivery, equipment and other agreed charges when comparing quotes.
  • Confirm the grill, permitted fuel, serving table and utensils. Do not assume these are all included with a food order.

Picture the food and setup

Look at the food and setup photos to picture your own table. Notice the cuts, seafood, serving space and where the chef works.

If a photo makes the serving style clearer, it is a useful planning clue: what goes on the grill, what sits on the table, and how much help you may want while guests arrive.

Your private BBQ party checklist

Work backwards from when you want guests to eat. The venue booking needs to allow for access, setup, cooking and clearing up; guest arrival and the first food off the grill are different moments.

Use this sequence to prepare the day. Exact arrival and cooking times depend on your menu, venue and agreed service, so confirm them directly rather than treating this as a fixed schedule.

  • Before ordering: settle a working guest count, date, venue permission and rain fallback.
  • When reviewing the quote: check the menu, quantities, who grills, equipment, charges and what help is included.
  • Before the event: share the pit or grill location, security instructions, loading point, lift access and a contact for arrival.
  • Before guests arrive: have the permitted cooking area, serving space, plates and rubbish arrangements ready.
  • During the party: assign someone to welcome late arrivals and move food to the table if that is not part of the agreed service.
  • For a celebration: agree when cake, speeches or photos should happen so they fit around the meal.
  • Before the booking ends: leave time to clear the area and complete the venue handover.

Next step

Have the key event details ready

Share the date, guest count, venue type, rough spend range, and whether you want chef-led grilling with your Sunday Roast food order. We can then shape the menu and setup around the event instead of guessing.
